"Your (Representative Greg Smith) voting record with the Farm Bureau was exemplary. It demonstrates that you understand the issues important to agriculture, and your commitment to get good results from Oregons family farmers and ranchers and rural communities."
Over the past nine years, I have brought our shared values to the Legislature. Values like returning balance to our natural resource laws, protecting family wage jobs, growing our economy, protecting senior citizens and helping our children achieve a better future in the classroom. I am proud to say my votes reflect these values.

As a fifth generation Oregonian and small business owner, I know what it means to meet a payroll and deal with the burdens of excessive business regulation and taxation. I am proud that Associated Oregon Industries rated my legislative voting record at 95% and gave me the title of a "Champion for Oregon Jobs and Business."
I also know the struggles of raising a family. It is hard work to juggle the responsibilities of faith, family and occupation. How my wife Sherri keeps our family going while I am serving in Salem absolutely amazes me.
I am excited to return to Salem. With your support we will be able to continue to make Eastern Oregon a better place to live and work.
